1) Colleen defended me in a case where I had 5 charges for Assault on a Police Officer and resisting arrest. I had never been in trouble before and felt like I didn't deserve these charges. On my very first day in court, she was there before I got there, and by the time the day was over, 4 of the 5 charges against me had been dropped. Eventually, I received a Probation before Judgment for a lesser charge. I would have been happy with that, but then Colleen came back and walked me step by step through the process of getting the case off my record. Eventually, it will be as if this case never happened at all. I was so impressed by Colleen's work, I believe I didn't pay enough

2) I was charged with DUI in Anne Arundel County by a MTA officer. When I was first charged with the offense, I was nervous about losing my job. Colleen was very helpful and reassured me that I would most likely be ok and not to be too apprehensive with telling my employer. Throughout the process, Colleen was extremely helpful. My judgment was almost exactly as Colleen predicted. She was able to read through my paperwork and walk me through the process on the first day I met her. The court appearance went exactly as Colleen laid out for me. She was able to get the judge to offer me a Probation Before Judgment with 18 months probation. She is very thorough and makes sure she has covered every aspect of the paperwork to make sure she can argue the case to the best interest of her client.

3) When faced with a court date for driving on a suspended license in Montgomery County, I chose criminal defense attorney Colleen Kirby to represent me.  In the end all my charges were dropped.  Since this was my first time in court I had many questions through out the process and Ms. Kirby was consistently available to answer any and all of the them.  i highly recommend her as legal counsel.

4) Being matched with Colleen Kirby for legal representation was one of the best things to happen to me this year.  I was facing some very serious consequences in a somewhat complicated case that had a lot of age to it, and she helped me in my efforts to resolve the issues so that I could finally put them behind me. Colleen has such a personal approach that I felt like I'd known her for a while. Often-times there is a stigma attached to criminal defense lawyers suggesting a lack of compassion and a tendency to only establish goals of "winning." However, it's pretty clear to me that Colleen does not fall into this stereotype. Not only was she extremely thorough in learning about the circumstances surrounding my case so that she could advocate for me in the courtroom, she also extended a warmth and friendliness in her correspondence with me to forge a comfortable and amicable lawyer-client relationship--something I definitely didn't expect but gladly welcomed.  I feel like I have a true professional friend in Colleen and my life is literally better for having known her.
